Where are you located?

The Hi-Country manufacturing plant and Trading Post are located in Lincoln, Montana situated along Highway 200, between Great Falls and Missoula and 1 hour from the capital city of Helena. Lincoln is in the beautiful Blackfoot River (A River Runs Through It!) valley.


How long will my product stay fresh after I receive it?

Our meat snacks are dated for 1 year after the date of manufacture. The Best By date is stamped on the bottom of the bags in the seal area or printed on a white label on backside of package. Each sealed bag of product includes an oxygen absorber to help maintain freshness.


Note: The oxygen absorbers are not for consumption, keep out of reach of children.


How long will my product stay fresh after I open it?

For best flavor and enjoyment we recommend consuming our meat snacks within 5 days after opening. Be sure to seal tight or put into an airtight container between snacking to prevent excessive dry out. Refrigeration after opening is only required on products marked as such (i.e. salami and summer sausage).


Do you sell gift certificates?

Gift certificates are a great way to express your kind thoughts when you are not sure what particular product or flavor to give. So why not let them decide? Gift certificates are available online, or feel free to call us at 1-800-433-3916 to reserve your order over the phone. Gift Certificates are available for whatever denomination you desire. We will e-mail or mail a certificate to the recipient with a notation of whom it is from. They can then call us to place their order or visit our retail store to redeem.


I have allergies...are your products free from peanuts, tree nuts and/or glutens?

Our products are made in a facility that is free from peanuts, tree nuts and/or glutens. We do carry a few items that contain soy products; which have gluten byproducts (any Teriyaki flavored product). Please click on the See Details link of each product to view the nutrition facts and ingredients.


Do your products contain Monosodium Glutamate?

Hi-Country does use MSG in some products for a bolder taste. Product ingredients are clearly labeled with their nutritional statements, which can also be viewed online by clicking on the �See Details� link. We also understand that some people don�t want MSG in their products for health/allergy reasons; which is why we offer a line of MSG free Meat Snacks.


Where can I find nutritional information about your products?

You can view ingredient and nutrition facts by clicking on the image of the product you are interested in (See Details link).


Do you offer wholesale pricing to distributors and businesses?

Hi-Country does offer wholesale pricing to qualified distributors and businesses. Please click on the Biz to Biz link at the top of the page for more information. This site will offer information pertaining to our available products and contact information.


Is my information confidential?

The personal information you provide to us is kept confidential. This information is used only to fulfill and ship your order. Identifying information is not shared, rented, nor sold. We will keep your name and address on file so that we can send you our mail order brochure to keep you up-to-date on our product lines.


In order to ensure your privacy, Hi-Country Snack Foods, Inc. utilizes Authorize.net for credit card approval. Our site can securely transmit your credit card and order information for processing through our secure online payment infrastructure.


Hi-Country dislikes SPAM as much as you! Your information will not be sold or shared with 3rd parties of any kind.


Do you have a privacy policy?

Yes. We recognize a fiduciary responsibility with the information that you provide to us and we do not release information without first obtaining your express approval. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for complete details.


What forms of payment do you accept?

For your shopping convenience, we accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. You may also send us a check or money order with your order. If you place an order over the phone and intending to sending a check, we will hold the order until the payment is received.


When will my credit card be billed?

Your credit card will be billed the day your order is submitted on our site. If placing your order over the phone your credit card may billed the day your order is taken but most likely will wait until the following day. Your credit card statement will say Hi-Country Snack Foods, Lincoln, MT as the merchant.


Why do I have to sign in?

By signing in on My Account, your billing and shipping information will automatically come up the next time you place an online order. This is a convenience we offer our repeat customers.


What do I do if I can�t remember my login or password?

Your login I.D. should be your email address. If you cannot remember your password you can click on the Forgot Password? link at the bottom of the page. Fill in your email address and hit submit. An email will be forwarded to you with instructions on how to confirm your lost password request. By clicking on the link you are taken back to www.hicountry.com to confirm. Hit the submit button again. Another email will be sent to you with a new temporary password. When you go to My Account to sign in, use the new temporary password to log on. After you place your order online and hit the Checkout button your account information comes up. You can then click on Modify Account Information button to change your temporary password back to one you prefer to use.


I need to change my address or email?

After you have put items in your shopping cart and hit the Submit button your account information will come up. You can then click on Modify Account Information button to change your email address, password and/or address information.


Is there a minimum order amount?

No. You can order 1 or more of any item.


Where can I find out the shipping rates and policies?

You can find out shipping specifications and rates by clicking on the Customer Service link at top of page.


What carriers do you ship through?

Orders are shipped via best way USPS Priority Mail or UPS. Orders will ship within 2 working days (generally the next business day). Allow 3 to 5 working days for delivery, depending on your location. Shipping charges will be added to your order at checkout. Your order ships directly from Lincoln, Montana.


Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?

Hi-Country is located in Montana and there is NO sales tax here! That�s a 5% to 10% savings�so shop happily!


How do I cancel my order?

Contact our customer service department right away by calling us at 1-800-433-3916 or via email at customerservice@hicountrymail.com.


This is a gift; how do I supply the recipients shipping address?

Currently, our site does not facilitate gift recipients. However, to bypass this you can simply change your personal shipping address to the gift recipient�s address. After you have put the items for the recipient in your shopping cart and hit the Submit button your account information will come up. You can then click on Modify Account Information button and change your SHIPPING information to your recipients. Leave your billing information alone. Submit the order. If you have another gift recipient then follow the same procedure. Remember to change the shipping address back to your own for future orders.


This is a gift; do you include prices on your packing slip?

No, the packing slip only includes a list of what products are in the package, the address we are shipping to and whom the gift is from. No prices are included in your package�s shipment.


This is a gift; do you include a personal message on the packing slip?

Yes, we can add a personal message to the packing slip. The packing slip will list the products that are being sent and then a personal message from you. If ordering online you can email us at customerservice@hicountrymail.com and request a personal message to be included on your order. Please have your order number listed and we will then type that message onto the packing slip for you.


Do you ship to APO�s and other military locations?

Yes. We do ship to APO addresses via US Priority Mail. For more information visit our Customer Service page.


How can I find the status of my order?

You can email us at customerservice@hicountrymail.com or call us at 1-800-433-3916 to find the status of your order. Please have the date you ordered and the first and last name of the person the order is shipping to ready for us to look up.
