MONTANA'S RACE TO THE SKY 350 Mile Sled Dog Race 
Hi-Country is also home of the finish line (and some years the restarting line) for Montana's premiere sled dog race, The Race To The Sky (www.racetothesky.org). Join us here every February (snow permitting) at our Trading Post for first hand action as the teams race through our parking lot and into the distant mountain passes. As the teams make their way back to Lincoln at the end of their 350 mile journey they end their race by crossing under Hi-Country's Grand Archway. Warm up between race times inside our Trading Post store and take in some of Lincoln's hospitality! Cheer on your favorite mushers and dog teams, and encourage finishers as they qualify for the Iditarod (www.iditarod.com)!!

HI-COUNTRY RACING 1/8 and 1/4 Mile Drag Racing 
Hi-Country is the major sponsor for DenBoer Racing. Willie and Jennifer DenBoer have been drag racing for over 15 years in Montana and the Northwest area. Over their career Willie has earned a Montana record of 8 Wally trophies (a prestigious trophy representing the founder of NHRA, Wally Parks). You can find Willie and Jennifer almost every race weekend in Anaconda, Montana at the Lost Creek Raceway (www.lostcreek-raceway.com); in Lewistown, Montana at the Lewistown Drag Racing Association (www.lewistowndragracing.com); or at the Billings racetrack in Acton, Montana (www.yellowstonedragstrip.com). LINCOLN ANNUAL RODEO 4th of July Weekend 
The Lincoln Rodeo (www.lincolnmontana.com) is held every year over the 4th of July weekend and has something for everybody. From barrel racing, to calf roping, and both bareback and bull riding! Kids can join in on the fun with the boot races and chicken runs. Enjoy hillside seating and local concessions. Each year Hi-Country sponsors a chute door and provides a beautiful buckle for one of the event winners. |
LINCOLN ROD RUN Classic Car Show & Rod Run 
The Lincoln Rod Run (www.lincolnmontana.com) is now an annual event that continues to grow each year. Held in downtown Lincoln, and put on by Lambkins Restaurant & Lounge, this car show is a car lover's dream. Cars are put on display along main street and then the owners get to enjoy a rod run which travels approximately 100 miles throughout the area, with a stop at the Trading Post! Each year Hi-Country sponsors a trophy for a class winner. |
